Classes

Hot Yoga  (90 min)

Hot Yoga works for beginners and advanced students alike. It is an excellent way to achieve and maintain health in your body, mind, and spirit. The 90-minute class consists of two breathing exercises (pranayamas) and 26 postures (asanas), repeated twice. The series, which is practiced in a heated room, is scientifically designed to work the entire body from the inside out, bones to skin.

What to Expect
We keep our room heated around 105˚F with approximately 40% humidity. The heat allows for a deeper and safer stretch. It causes sweating, which is one of the most effective ways to rid the body of toxins. It increases the heart rate for a more effective cardiovascular workout (maximum calorie and fat burn).

You will need: A yoga mat and a large towel (to lay on top of your yoga mat)

How to prepare: Come to class hydrated. Avoid chugging water before class. The best way to stay hydrated is to drink plenty of water the day before and the day of class.Refrain from eating 2 hours prior to class.

What to wear: Comfortable workout clothing. Keep in mind that you will be sweating a lot. Women typically wear exercise shorts, tank tops and/or sports bras. Men typically wear board shorts (swim trunks) or exercise shorts with an optional t-shirt. Avoid wearing loose/baggy clothing.

Hot Power Vinyasa  (75 min)

This class is an athletic vinyasa-style yoga. The flow of poses is based on sun salutations to raise the heart rate and strengthen the body. It integrates cardio, strength training, and flexibility. It is a great compliment to the 26 posture hot series.

What to Expect
You will need: A yoga mat and an optional large towel (to lay on top of your yoga mat)

How to prepare: Come to class hydrated. Refrain from eating 2 hours prior to class.

What to wear: Comfortable workout clothing; avoid wearing loose/baggy clothing.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is tantric deep relaxation, guided meditation practice experienced lying down on your back with arms resting by your sides and palms facing up. Yoga Nidra means ‘yogic sleep’ or ‘conscious-aware’ sleep. It is that state when you are completely relaxed, yet conscious and aware, similar to when you are on the verge of falling asleep. Yoga Nidra practices were developed thousands years ago as a means to achieve the deepest states of inner peace and relaxation as well as a way to astral travel and reach states of Turiya (being aware of super-conscious, conscious, subconscious and unconscious minds simultaneously). Yoga Nidra practice is a way to positively impact and recondition your mind’s subconscious layers. Yoga Nidra can help you solve problems and enhance intuition and creativity. It will rejuvenate your body and your mind. It is said that 15 minutes of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to an hour of deep sleep. It is a powerful and delightful practice that you can do on a daily basis or at any suitable time for you. Practicing on a regular basis will help you to delve into your subconscious mind and peel away unwanted programs and patterning that holds you back from being your most creative and authentic self.

Stay awake, stay still, do not sleep and receive the benefits!

What to Expect
You will need: A yoga mat and an optional large towel (to lay on top of your yoga mat)

How to prepare: Come to class hydrated.
