We offer a full locker room & showers for your convenience. We have secure lockers, which you can use to store personal belongings.
We rent yoga mats & bath towels ($1 each), although limited quantities are available. Water is available for sale.
If you have injuries or are pregnant our classes are great for you, but be sure to let your instructor know before class. He or she will show you modifications to ensure that you have a safe and comfortable class.
What to Expect from Each Class:
Hot Yoga – 90 minutes
Hot Yoga is great for beginners and advanced students alike. It is an excellent way to achieve and maintain health in your body, mind, and spirit. It consists of two breathing exercises (pranaymas) and 26 postures (asanas), repeated twice. The series is scientifically designed to work the entire body from the inside out, bones to skin.
What’s the deal with HOT yoga?
Trust us, you’ll learn to LOVE it. We keep our room heated around 105˚F with approximately 40% humidity. The heat allows for a deeper and safer stretch. It causes sweating, which is one of the most effective ways to rid the body of toxins. It increases the heart rate for a more effective cardiovascular workout (maximum calorie and fat burn).
You will need:
-a yoga mat
-a large towel (to lay on top of your yoga mat)
How to prepare:
-Come to class hydrated. Avoid chugging water before class. The best way to stay hydrated is to drink plenty of water the day before and the day of class.
-Refrain from eating 2 hours prior to class.
What to wear:
Wear comfortable workout clothing. Keep in mind that you’ll be sweating a lot. Women typically wear exercise shorts, tank tops and/or sports bras. Men typically wear board shorts (swim trunks) or exercise shorts with an optional t-shirt. Avoid wearing loose/baggy clothing.
Vinyasa – 90 minutes
This class begins with sun-salutations to prepare and warm the body. The flowing sequence moves the body from one pose to the next, with emphasis on the breath. This style of practice is called ‘vinyasa’, linking movement with breath. You will find this meditation in motion stimulating yet calming. The class finishes with yin poses, gently stretching connective tissue, focusing on hips, pelvis, and spine.
